EMDPI- It’s a specific induction expertise with knowledge of process engineering at high temperature.

It is based on a triptych:

-Electromagnetic processes: induction heating, melting, brazing, thermosealing or electromagnetic pumping , stirring or interface control : braking, wiping

-Materials: metal, composites, ceramics, assemblies

-Mulitphysics modelling: electromagnetism, fluid flow and heat transfer

The expertise is based on:
–an overview of all electromagnetic processes with their fields of action and limitations: from high frequency range (up to several kHz) to continuous fields (magnets) with also multiphase system (travelling magnetic field) for pumping, stirring

– knowledge on technical and electrotechnical  aspects of inductive systems

– knowledge of the physical phenomena associated with magnetic fields and their interactions on a conductive medium: fluid, thermal aspects…

– transverse and multiscale approach by combining scientific, technical and modelling aspects

– skills on innovative development and transfer at industrial scale
